LEAGUE TYPE:
Futsal is a face-paced, exciting form of indoor soccer. It is played on a hard court using a smaller ball with less bounce than a normal soccer ball. This 8v8 game places great demand on technique, movement, & fitness - and is growing quickly in popularity! Our 5-week league offers a great opportunity to get a taste of this exciting game all while enjoying the fellowship of a Red Rocks Sports event. Players may register individually or with 1-2 friends. During registration please list the name of 1 or 2 friends who you would like to be placed on the same team with. This will be strictly enforced, players will not be able to register with more than 2 friends.

START DATE:
Winter 2016

GAME DAYS:
Friday evenings, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

FIELD LOCATIONS:
Rocky Mountain Roller Hockey Arena

SEASON:

Each team will play 4 regular season contests and playoffs on the 5th week.
Game start times will be either 7 or 8pm

FEES:
$40 per player.
Rosters will consist of a minimum of 14 players (5 female and 9 male players)
Payments can be made online during registration or by mailing cash/check to Red Rocks Church.
*FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE LEAGUE START DATE. IF NO PAYMENT IS RECEIVED BY THIS TIME, YOUR SPOT WILL OPEN UP TO OTHER PLAYERS. REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN AFTER 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE LEAGUE START DATE.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:
The league fee includes Red Rocks team t-shirt & 4 regular season contests (plus playoffs).

AGE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 18 years or older to participate.

PLAYER WAIVER & RELEASE FORM
Before any player can participate in any Red Rocks Sports league or activity, he/she must submit a liability waiver during online registration.

LEAGUE RULES
For basic futsal rules, please view the rules at the bottom of this page. We will have several modifications to our Red Rocks league that are not included in this view, they are:

Play will be 7v7 (plus goalkeepers)

Slide tackling is prohibited (this is considered any play that alters the position and/or movement of another player). Players ARE allowed to slide, but not to slide tackle

Penalties in the goalie box will be a dribble up breakaway opportunity for the team that was fouled.

Substitutions may be made at any point during play

Each team is allowed 5 fouls in each half before a penalty break-away will be allowed. On the 6th foul of any half, the opposing team may pick 1 player to take the penalty break-away

Foul count restarts at the beginning of each half or at the beginning of OT
