Holiday Hoopfest 3v3 Bball Tourney! Benefiting the Martina Bustos community of Costa Rica  $602.00 Cash Prize to the Men's DivisionTOURNAMENT TYPE: Men's and coed's teams will be placed in a division. Each team within each division will play round robin style until all games have been completed. At the conclusion of division play, each division will have at least their top 2 teams advance to the playoffs. Depending on the total number of registered teams may determine more teams advancing to playoffs. Tournament Date: December 16th, 2016 9am - 5pm *Final games may be later than 5pm depending on total number of registered teams GAME TIMES (tentative): Men's Open Division: Division play followed by playoffs/championship Coed Division: Division play followed by playoffs/championship COURT LOCATIONS: Charles Whitlock Rec Center WHAT DOES THIS BENEFIT?: Our 2016 Missions team had the opportunity to visit a community in Liberia, Costa Rica, called Martina Bustos, an area of extreme poverty where the children typically get fed only once per day. Despite their difficult circumstances, these kids made such an impact on our lives through their pure joy and love, that left us wanting to find a way to give back! Thus, proceeds from this 3v3 tournament will go toward funding a new building for the Feeding Center of this community (current building pictured below). This center is currently ran by two devoted volunteer mothers who make meals for the kids in this area. Our end goal with this fundraiser is to show this community the love of Christ in the resources that we've been blessed with.   WHY A $602 CASH PRIZE? We as a Sports Ministry firmly believe in the importance of bearing one another's burdens. As we partner with those down in Costa Rica, we recognize Galatians 6:02 as one way we can do just that. Our primary aim is to bring awareness to the potential we have as the people of Christ to help our brothers and sisters, even if that means participating in a Holiday 3v3 Basketball Tournament. "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" - GAL. 6:02 FEES: Men's registration: $100/team or $30/individual Coed registration: $75/team or $25/individual Captains: you are responsible for the full team fee to register a team. Payments can be made online during registration. If you would like to pay by check please contact curt@redrockschurch.com to arrange delivery. *FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE LEAGUE START DATE. IF NO PAYMENT IS RECEIVED BY THIS TIME, YOUR SPOT WILL OPEN UP TO OTHER PLAYERS. REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN AFTER 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE LEAGUE START DATE.
